Are you working running, managing, building or editing cultural portals around the world? Are you cultural portals experts? Do you know what is the trends in digital culture and heritage? Have you already fulfilled the Culturemondo Survey? If not please give your experience and touch to the final results.
Culturemondo Network and Culturelink Network are conducting the third Culturemondo international survey of cultural portals.
They are continuing their work to benchmark and track changing trends in digital culture and heritage. This means finding out who is publishing which websites in which countries, what issues and challenges they are dealing with and what impact they are having on their audience.
Information about trends in digital culture (and especially cultural portals) is not easily found, and they ask you to help in this task by answering a set of simple questions. The whole survey shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes.

Quale messaggio voglio trasmettere, perchè voglio dire?Cogito ergo […]

CEU offers a one-year MA in Public Policy with a specialization in cultural policy

The CEU Department of Public Policy offers a one-year MA in Public Policy with an optional specialization in the field of cultural policy. Since its launch in 2004 the department attracted a high number of applications from students in the CEE/FSU region and around the world. Graduates from the program have become government officials and policy experts in their home countries. Many of the students trained in the MA in Public Policy program are early or mid-career professionals who already bring professional experience to the program. The MA program offers different areas of specialization to its students. Upon successful completion of a particular stream of specialization students receive a diploma supplement to their MA degree.
The Cultural Policy Stream

Sculptures

Never Say Never

The City of Zagreb and Alliance for the Centre for Independent Culture and Youth founded the Centre for independent culture and youth which will be situated on several locations in Zagreb. In Croatia, this is the first example of such institution based on the mixed ownership and it represents a historic moment for the City of Zagreb as well as for the whole country and, most important, for independent culture in Croatia. This Centre is the result of a successful bottom-up initiative.
Here, I will briefly take you through the advocacy process and struggles which were applied for establishing the Centre. I also hope that it can serve as good example for other cities in the Western Balkan region or South East Europe, as well as wider. To put the whole strategy into the context, I have to get back to the 90’s which brought variety of changes into Croatian landscape […]
